First Diagnosis
November 1960
Diagnosis: Inoperable destructive brain tumor, destroying the right base of the skull and spreading into the right orbital cavity and sphenoid sinus.

Histology: Malignant Meningioma.

Standard/
Conventional Treatments

November 1960
Treatment: Partial Resection. Post-operative Radiation Therapy. As malignant meningiomas rarely respond to radiation, patient is considered as incurable.

March 1960
Control exam: Hemicrania right side, ataxia and other neurological symptoms.

No Standard Treatments.

Issels Treatment

March to June 1960
Issels Treatment: 13 weeks of in-patient immunobiological treatment and 6 months of out-patient follow-up treatment. Cerebral reactions upon administration of immunobiological preparations i.e. vaccines. slow improvement of disturbed functions and of general condition.

March 1961
Control exam: Remission of all symptoms. No evidence of recurrence.

October to November 1967
Issels Treatment: 6 weeks of in-patient follow-up treatment. Free of all tumor symptoms.

Follow-up until 1971
10 years cancer free without any further recurrence, patient is leading a normal life and is fully fit for work.
